Dear Resident, Police are appealing for witnesses, information and dash cam footage following a serious road traffic collision in Stevenage. Shortly before 5pm yesterday (Saturday 18 October), a Toyota Prius was travelling westbound on Broadhall Way when, for reasons currently unknown, it crossed the carriageway and was involved in a collision with a Land Rover Discovery and a Ford Fiesta. The driver of the Toyota, a man aged in his 50s, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Land Rover, a man also aged in his 50s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital. The third driver suffered slight injuries. Sergeant Matthew O’Neill, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing as we try to piece together what happened. “I am appealing for anyone who saw the collision take place to please come forward. Additionally, please check any dash cam footage in case you recorded anything that may help our investigation. “If you have any relevant dash cam footage, please upload this at: herts.police.uk/dashcamupload. I can also be emailed directly via Matthew.O'Neill@herts.police.uk.” You can also report information online at herts.police.uk/report, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat at herts.police.uk/contact or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting ISR 559 of 18 October. Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org. In an emergency, always call 999.
